MY ACHIEVEMENTS

COVID Vaccine Volunteer

During the pandemic, I volunteered at a local vaccination centre where I was responsible for inputting and organising patients’ data. My role consisted of maintaining accuracy and efficiency in data management which was crucial for the operation of the vaccination process. I ensured that a safe working environment was upheld by adhering to safety policies across tasks. This experience was extremely invaluable, as it allowed me to work closely with healthcare professionals, fostering a sense of collaboration and teamwork whilst knowing my contribution helped protect the health of my community which was extremely rewarding.

Mandarin Excellence Programme

I had the incredible opportunity to represent my school in the Mandarin Excellence Programme, an intensive 5-year course designed to achieve fluency in Mandarin. This program provided me with unforgettable experiences such as travelling to China twice and being featured in a documentary showcasing what it’s like to be part of an MEP school. Through this transformative journey, I’ve significantly gained confidence and demonstrated my dedication. As part of the programme, I completed the HSK 3 examination. The Mandarin Excellence programme allowed me to open doors to a deeper understanding of the Chinese language and its culture.

Pub Assistant Manager

I worked as a waitress multiple times a week, where I was responsible for taking orders, running food, greeting and seating guests, and participating in weekly events. In addition, I trained new wait staff to ensure they met our high service standards and upheld the brand's reputation. These responsibilities not only enhanced my customer service skills and ability to work effectively under pressure but also fuelled my passion for community involvement. This combination of experience and dedication eventually led to my promotion to assistant manager of the pub.
